We have a new home. Our building on Breckenridge gives Ennis C.A.R.E.S. a dedicated place to welcome neighbors, coordinate resources, and respond when families need us most.

About $3,500 funds one month of rent and utilities. Sponsor a full month, share a month with others, or give at any level. Your support creates a safe, welcoming, and dignified place for homeless and near-homeless neighbors throughout Ennis and eastern Ellis County.

3% Cover the Fee

Ennis CARES also accepts donations of the following frequently requested items:

  • Flash Lights with batteries

  • Gift cards for gas

  • Laundry bags

  • Large waterproof bags or backpacks

  • Tarps

  • Toiletries: soap, shampoo, deodorant, razors, feminine hygiene products, etc.

  • Rain coats or rain ponchos

  • Small first aide kits

  • coffee pods

  • Cereal

  • Snacks

  • Trash bags

  • Seasonal items

    • Summer: air-condition window units and box fans

    • Winter: space heaters, new or gently used blankets, coats, gloves, etc.

Questions & Answers

Can I designate a donation to a specific need?
Yes. Use the fund selector at the top of the donation form to give to either our General Fund or our Building Fund. If you are paying by check, just send a note along with the check.

​Can I send a memorial donation?
Yes, if paying by check. Please include your name and address, the name of the person you wish to memorialize, and the address of the family so we can send them an acknowledgement of your gift.

​Can I send an honorarium?
Yes, if paying by check. Please give us the name and address of the honorary person so we can send an acknowledgement. Please make sure we have your name and address as well.

Is there a minimum or maximum I can donate?
No.We appreciate any amount.

​Will I get a tax deduction receipt?
Yes, upon request. ​

Can I make a reoccurring automatic donation each month?
