Runnin Free Ranch is a local agency providing trauma-focused equine-assisted psychotherapy program for veterans, at-risk youth, individuals with special needs, and their families. Parents, grandparents, teachers, and caregivers are invited to this support group where they will learn the Anchoring Heart Technique to help ground stress, anxiety, and tension.

Toys for Tots Registration
Ellis County residents can register for Toys for Tots on Fridays from 8am-4pm through November 22nd at the Ennis Welcome Center, 201 NW Main St, Ennis, TX 75119. Be sure to bring parent / guardian’s ID, birth certificate for each child (14 and under), proof of residency (lease or utility bill).
Healthy Eating and Reading
Want your kids to take brighter bites? Join the free Healthy Eating & Reading group! This group emphasizes the importance of reading in a child’s life. Parents learn strategies on how to integrate story-time and healthy eating to make it more fun and enjoyable for the child. This group is for ages 0-5. This group is funded by SAMHSA. Little Sprouts
This free group will practice growing and cultivating plants (i.e., veggies, flowers, herbs, grains) that promote healthy eating. Little Sprouts Gardening will help address sensory needs, cognitive development, communication skills, fine motor, and gross motor development for our little ones. Whether you are a beginner looking for tips or a pro looking to share your knowledge and show off your projects, you are invited to join us at the monthly Ennis Crochet Group meeting Hosted at the Ennis CARES Family Resource Center, 002 E Ennis Ave, Ennis, TX 75119. All ages, genders, and skill levels are welcome. Bring a snack and make a friend!
Indoor Gardening Workshop
Join Keep Ennis Beautiful at their first EVER winter gardening workshop Saturday, Nov. 16th, 1pm at the Ennis Welcome Center, 201 NW Main St, Ennis, TX 75119. This will be a hands-on-workshop where you will be instructed on sprouting seeds & legumes using the jar and tray methods. This family friendly garden project can be done inside all year long. It only takes up a few square inches of counter space and yummy sprouts are ready to eat within 5-7 days. This is a GREAT garden project for those of us with little to no gardening skills. FREE supplies will be provided to the first 30 participants, including a glass jar and sprouting lid, a tray and substrate, and seeds & legumes. Children 7 and up attending with their adult may be registered for free supplies. Children 6 and under are welcome to attend & share supplies with their adult.
